KATHY BROWN YOGA

Hello, I am Kathy Brown,

 

Yoga is for everybody, at every stage of life.  I have found that by incorporating a regular practice, yoga can calm the body and mind, increase the body-mind-breath connection, help to alleviate stress and bring a sense of balance to your life, my teachings centre around sharing that awareness and peace with you. I love yoga for many reasons. I was introduced to yoga many years ago when my children were little and I was working part time as a law clerk. My part time job became a very stressful full time job as my children began to grow.  Yoga for me became my quiet time. It was a chance for me to reconnect to my centre, the quiet place that we all have within us.

 

I have been a yoga practitioner since 2010 and in 2016 I became certified in Hatha yoga.  Yoga was a chance for me to reconnect with my body, mind and spirit, through yoga postures, grounding and meditation.  I furthered my study in this regard and have been certified in Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yin Yoga, Somatic Healing and Meditation.

 

Because of this, I teach from this place, I teach what yoga has become for me. In my class we will stretch and hold, strengthen and lengthen, relax and restore, but it is my wish that you find the quiet place within, and connect to your centre.

 

Whether you join me for a yoga class, yoga series, workshop or one on one class, I can't wait to serve you on the mat.
