Channelling my Inner Viking

Recently I took a trip to Iceland. The people were warm and friendly, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the water was the most amazing water I have ever tasted. The tap water is directly from the Glaciers, no additions, no water treatment facilities, just clean, clear water.

Of course, who can resist the temptation to jump into a yoga pose or two in front of these amazing landscapes.

Warrior Two is such an amazing pose! It strengthens the legs, opens the hips and chest, it also helps develop concentration, balance and groundedness. And after a very long air plane ride, I was needing some serious grounding!!

Warrior Two just feels good in my body.

To get into this pose, stand at the top of your mat (or in front of a mountain), step one foot back and place it on a 90 degree angle. This will open your hips to the side, be mindful of your front knee and make sure it is in alignment with your front ankle. Inhale to raise the hands up placing them parallel to the ground.

Enjoy your Warrior Two!
